    1915/19: The Dr. Ron Zelonka written up collection of the Ukrainian Legion in the Austrian Army, starting with 15 postcards related to Ukrainian Nationalism and Military Mouvement in Galicia and a larger section of 42 cards and covers used by  the Ukrainian Legion , including officially printed patriotic postcards, charity labels, official military mail to the office in Vienna, commercially used covers addressed to soldiers in the Unkrainian Sich Rifleman (Sichovi Striltsi) 1st Batallion, fieldpost cards showing different Ukrainian handstamps, officially printed and bilingual envelope of "K.u.K.     1912: Original letter (in German) from BOHDAN ZAKLINSKYJ to the editor of a philatelic journal giving detailed descriptions of "National Stamps" issued in Lemberg, Czernowitz and by the Ukrainian Radical party. Thirteen adhesives attached to the letter. The document is fragile but in excellent condition and of considerable historical interest. In addition, we have removed from Dr Zelonka's collection of vignettes 21 examples of the Radical Party labels, in fine condition, including a strip of five with all designs se-tenant and these are included with this lot.

    Large format envelope to which are affixed a set (14) of the unissued "Vienna Issue" of 1920, shown in the Bulat catalogue at page 148. The stamps are tied by official seals and the accompanying handwritten and typed text, dated 11 March 1921, confirms the authenticity of the issue. In the first booklet, 34 remaining stamps are overprinted with Kyiv IIa single handstamp applied to present tête-bêche pairs. In the second booklet, the 31 remaining stamps are overprinted with Kyiv IIgg single handstamps, inverted in each case. Both booklets are in fine condition, all the stamps unmounted mint.
