RIO CHICO 1851 (Oct 4): Entire letter to the French Consul general in Caracas struck with circular CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / RIO CHICO / FRANCA and rate mark '1¼', both in black. Somewhat heavy strike but rare and most appealing entire.
RIO CARIBE 1850c.: Prepaid cover to General Soublete in Caracasstruck with circular CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / RIO CARIBE / FRANCA in black with manuscript rate at left '2 rs.'. Couple of minor worm holes but exceptionl and rare.
BARCELONA 1846 (March 7): Entire letter from Nueva Barcelona to Carcas struck with circular CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / BARCNA / DEBE handstamp in black with '¾ ONZ' handstamp at left and rate marking '3½' alongside, all in black. Exceptional and rare entire.
1865: 1 r. yellow, two examples each on small piece, each diagonally bisected. One cancelled by RIOBAMBA datestamp (without year date) in black, the other with large part dotted FRANCA in black. Scarce. Certs. Moorhouse (2014).
Diligencia 80 c. green, position 13 on sheet of 35 from E J Lee's plating with white blob above and between '80' at base, close margins with large margin at top, fine unused Scott = $ 500.
TACHIRA 1843/58: Covers (4) to Caracas or Maracaibo, one cover struck with circular CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / TACHIRA / FRANCA in brown, three covers with CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / TACHIRA / DEBE in black (2) and in blue. Fair to very fine, a scarce group.
LA GUAYRA 1824 (Aug 12): Official entire letter to Caracas with 'Servicio' at top, struck with superb strike of straight line GUAYRA handstamp in red, with manuscript '1' at upper left. Exceptional.
1865: 1 r. green, diagonally bisected example used on small piece, tied by dotted obliterator and by CUENCA (Dec 15, 1866) in black. Fine and atrractive piece. Cert. Moorhouse (2014).

SOMBRERO 1845 (Oct 3): Entire letter to the French Consul in Caracas with rare circular CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / SOMBRERO / FRANCA handstamp in black (a truly superb strike) with manuscript '¾' rate alongside. A lovely entire.
1865/71: ½ r. ultramarine, very worn impression from 1870 printing, four margined example tied to 1871 cover to Ambato tied by 3154 gros chiffres with QUITO / FRANCA datestamp alongside (Oct 7). A fine cover.
ARAGUA 1843 (Dec 2): Entire letter addressed to Carlos Soublette in Caracas struck with under-inked but readable strike of circular CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / ARAGUA / DEBE handstamp in black with '1¾' in manuscript at left.
1865/67: Great Britain 4 d. vermilion, pl. 12 used with large part strike of oval framed 'Pacific Steam Navigation Company / S. S. / Patagonia' struck in black. Rare and unrecorded.
GUAYANA 1800 (June 1): Entire letter from Guayana to San Sebastian, Spain struck with outstanding strike of GVAYANA and FRANCA straight line handstamps in black (Tizon 2+4 = RR). Exceptional and very scarce.

A splendid pair.
SAN CARLOS 1843/58c.: Covers (5) all either prepaid and struck with CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / S. CARLOS / FRANCA in brown or black (the latter with '½' and ONZ marking in black) or sent unpaid with CORREOS DE VENEZUELA / S. CARLOS / DEBE markings in black or red. Condition varies but scarce.
1953: Roosevelt imperforate Waterlow Proofs, the set of three values in upper left corner blocks of four, all with security punch-holes and the 3 c. value with flaw annotated in red ink. Scarce.

CARORA 1830 (Dec 18): Entire letter via Barquisimeto and San Carlos to Valencia struck with CARORA straight line handstamp with FRANCA handstamp below, each superb in red. Exceptional and rare.
1858: 120 c. blue (two examples), 180 green and 240 c. vermilion, fine unused examples of good colour and margins, the 240 c. with considerable plate wear, fresh and fine unused Scott = $ 820+.
5 c. scarlet 'Trencito', three used examples, each with good margins all round, in three greatly differing shades. One with minor corner bend but a fresh and fine group.

CABUDARE 1845c.: Covers (2) to Caracas, one prepaid with manuscript 'Franca' and manuscript 'Cabudare / 1½' cancellation of despatch, the other unpaid with manuscript 'Cabudare / Debe / 1½' at top. Rare and most unusual pair.
1935: 'Fantasia Tipo', 100 r. postal stationery cards, the set of ten mint, fresh and fine without tropicalisation. Scarce and most appealing set (Meyer BP143/BP152).
