A fine and scarce usage during the 'currency change' period.

    Zambezia 1906: Mozambique 25 r. red & black on yellow letter-card, sent registered to Tsingtau / China and up-rated with Zambezia provisional 50 r. on 65 r. slate blue on front and reverse with further 5 r. orange and 20 r. violet all tied by 'Quelimane' cds's. Orange registration label on front and transits of 'Beira' (Feb 1) in violet, 'Aden' (Feb 9) and 'Tsingtau' arrival cds (March 23). A charming and scarce usage.

Black on blue registration label alongside and French Paquebot datestamp on reverse of a fine card.
