    1867: Isabella January definitive 20 c. lilac in mixed franking with Isabella July definitive 25 m. blue & rose, both tied by 'Parilla con cifra 2' of Barcelona to entire letter with framed "PD" in blue and "Barcelona (2) 23 Nov 67" cds alongside, sent to Langnau Switzerland with Junquera border cds in blue, in addition Geneva, Geneva-Culoz T.P.O. and Bern transit cds's and Langnau arrival cds (1 Dec 67) on reverse. Rare temporary franking after the currency change of summer 1867. Cert. Eichele (2001).

    1930 (Oct 11): Cover to Eugenio Llach in Barcelona franked by special printing 1930 10 peseta deep yellow brown (recess printing), perf. 13¾, cancelled by 'Valores Declarados / Pro Union Ibero-Americana / Madrid' cachet in black, used on the second day of issue. This specially printed adhesive was only available in the Spanish Pavillion at the Exhibition - this cover being dated a day prior to issue date stated in Michel (Edifil 581).

    Spanish Civil War 1935/42c.: Collection in 6 albums with near complete mint for the period including Nationalist, Republican, Local and Charity issues, both definitive and commemorative including Airmails and Miniature sheets; 1938 Montserrat issue with overprint errors, 1938 North America surcharged imperforate pairs, Submarine set mint (perf. and imperf.), Submarine miniature sheet, thereafter with Local 'Town' issues from Balearic Islands, Barcelona, Burgos, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Lugfo, Malaga, San Sebastian, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Segovia (with mini sheets), Seville to Zaragoza issues (and many otthers) etc. and Military and Civilian usages on cover, Foreign Volunteer Forces items and labels incl. 'Pro Komsomol' star labels, Red Cross labels and cards, throughout with abundant usages on many covers. Viewing is an education in these difficult issues and both a pleasure and heartily recommended.
