    Bugulma 1883: 2 kop. grey-blue large margins (touched at top right because the stamp was separated by pulling), tied by oval violet Bugulma zemstvo handstamp (11 Jan 1884) to envelope with Imperial Arms definitive 7 kop. grey & carmine on reverse (touched during opening), cancelled at the Bugulma Imperial P.O., cover sent to Moscow with arrival cds (16 Jan) on reverse. Late use of this stamp which was soon replaced by the sky-blue issue, less than ten covers are known with this stamp, most sent locally Schmidt/Chuchin no. 4 = R.

    Opochka (Pskov) 1881: 5 kopek deep blue, a fine unused horizontal pair on thin wove paper, marginal from top of sheet, fresh and very fine unused pair. Scarce and most attractive.

    Ostrov (Pskov) 1884: 5 kopeks, imperforate Proofs on card paper (6) all in differing colours with shades of blue, pale and deep green, bistre and gold. A beautifuil selection and very rare.

    Poltava 1890-1914c. Kremenchug 1 kop, 3 kop. and 5 kop. se-tenant Proof on thick card paper of all three values printed in black, superb and in immaculate condition. A wonderful and rare item, believed unique.

    Ustsysolsk 1889: Postal stationery cover 2 kop. red, large format 125 : 158 mm, used as a money letter with a value of one rouble, handwritten 'deneshnoe na odin rub', indicium cancelled with cross-type handstamp "zemskaya potshta 22 Aug. 93' in violet with Ustsysolsk Imperial P.O. cds of the same day alongside and send to Warsaw with arrival cds on reverse (4 Sep). Although in bad shape (five wax seals cut out from reverse, two vert. folds) there are only five or six stationery envelopes known from Ustsysolsk, in addition it is the only known money letter from this district who emulated the Imperial money letter regime with five wax seals on reverse. There are no Imperial stamps affixed as money letters had to be paid in cash up to 1904.

    Ustsysolsk 1909 (July 7): 5 kop. dark-blue (Schmidt 43), tied by district datestamp to reverse of registered cover, official seal alongside, sent via district capital where Imperial Arms definitives 7 kop. blue (pair), tied by Ustsysolsk cds's and corresponding registration label were applied, sent to Moscow with arrival mark (July 15) on reverse. Filing fold away from stamps, otherwise fine.
