Endorsed in Serbian on reverse 'Forwarded from Vienna, May 1, 1854 by your good friend Christos Teshov', thence disinfected with superb NETTO DI FUORI ET DI DENTRO in black. Rare and fine entire.

    1856 (Jan 13): Entire letter from Sulina to Galatz, struck withoval framed AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / SULINA in green, somewhat obscured but unrecorded by Blistyar and Tchilinghirian, with arrival docketing inside of the following day. Despite the blurred appearance, a great rarity, it is believed that only one other cover (not actually seen by this describer) exists with this fore-runner cancellation - the Consular Post Office at Sulina only opened in 1858. A Lloyd Austriaco rarity.
