    1927/36: Expanded routes to the Middle East, India and beyond - Lot 23 covers/cards sent from Egypt, Iraq and Palestine showing diff. 'Air Mail' cachets, including interesting routes and destinations as 1933 envelope from Port Said to Latvia, three covers to Cechoslovakia, cover from Basrah (1936) to Wellington/NZ as well as another from Baghdad (1935) to Canada. On 6 January 1927 Imperial airways took over the Cairo-Baghdad air service from the Royal Air Force.
