    1853: Printed matter stamp 9 c. blue, just touched at top, otherwise with broad margins, tied by grille postmark 'griglietta' in black to journal 'Gazzetta Ufficiale di Milano" of February 27, 1857 upon arrival in Piacenza. Cert. Sorani (2008) Sassone = EUR 58'500.

    1855: Newspaper Stamp 9 centesemi black on deep blue, imperforate, a fine example used on Sunday, June 21, 1855 'Gazetta Uffiziale di Milano' tied by framed network 'griglietta' handstamp in black on arrival in Piacenza. The adhesive barely touched on design at upper left otherwise with enormous margins for this stamp on three sides. Fresh and very fine, an exceptionally rare and appealing usage. Cert.     1852/59: Page from an old Maury album with 1850 5 c. mint, used and pair and vertical strip of three used (signed A. Diena), 10 c. unused, 15 c. used (signed), 25 c. used, 40 c. unused (signed) and used (2), 1853/54 5 c. yellow superb used (cert.), 15 c. used and 25 c. used, 1857/59 issue unused and used, 1859 provisionals unused or used (most are signed) and a fine 20 c. blue used on cover. A few further items on stockcards, a good lot.
