1849: 10 c. brown, a horizontal strip of four used on 1850 cover from Brussels (Aug 10) to Mons with margins all round and just touched at upper left. The cover endorsed '26½' but the original endorsement mis-read as '20½' grams and accepted, however this was noticed by the receiving Postal Clerk in Mons (Aug 11 cds in red on reverse) and the cover endorsed "Détaxée" and "5" in manuscript to collect. 1849: Entire on printed headed paper dated June 30, 1849; mailed from Brussels to Gand on July 2, 1849 with Epaulette 20 c. pale blue tied by '24' numeral with "Bruxelles 2 JUIL 1849" datestamp in blue green alongside-the second day of use. Reverse with Gand arrival datestamp (July 3) in red. A remarkable and rare second day of issue usage.

1858/61: 40 c. red, (Yvert 12), three margined example used on delightful J. B. Moens blue advertising envelope with Locomotive and Sailing Ship at top, mailed from Brussels to C. W. Viner in Maida Vale, London cancelled by two strikes of '24' numeral obliterator with Brussels cds (Sept 12) at left. Framed 'PD' in black and London/paid arrival cds in red (Sept 13) on front. 'Angleterre Par Ouest 2' datestamp of transit on reverse. Some minor envelope tears of no significance. A lovely cover.
