    1860: 1 p., original design, 1st printing, the 1860 cover to Hualgayoc bearing an irregular block of 24 examples (Transfer Types 1-5/1-5 and 6-10/6-10) and some further examples appear to have been removed from the cover, cancelled by both the "Trux." dotted lozenge and by TRUJILLO straight line handstamps in black. Imperfections with some margins close or cut, one or two stamps with insignificant tears, but one of the largest multiples of this setting extant. Annotated by sender on reverse at Trujillo "Octbre. 23 de 1860". Rare.

    1863: 1 p., second retouch, the extraordinary combination cover to Trujillo bearing the largest known block of the retouched 1 peseta red with a block of twenty (sheet marginal at both left and right, the narrowest vertical margin being the gap between the two Transfer blocks: Types 11-15 and 11-15/16-20 and 16-20), a horizontal strip of three (Types 1-2-3) and a single Lecoq issue 1862 1 d. pale vermilion, all tied by "Otusco" dotted lozenge cancellations in black. Reverse with manuscript docketing of sender (May 30, 1863). Block crossed by filing fold and small insignificant faults, but a remarkable and wonderful cover. Cert. Moorhouse (2001) Gi 13.

    1873: 1 p. orange-yellow, the used strip of eleven with good to large margins all round, Coil Join on sixth stamp tied to 1873 judicial cover to San Miguel by straight line CAXAMARCA handstamps in black. One or two small vertical creases due to size of cover, fully endorsed by sender on reverse (August 13, 1873). One of the great Peruvian rarities. Signed Holcombe.

    1790/1860c.: The collection of Colonial pre-stamp (including one or two from Argentina, Bolivia and Chile), Republic pre-stamp and a few stampless items used during the adhesive period, over 190 covers/cover fronts, entires and postal documents, with a remarkable degree of completion from Arequipa through to Yslay with many fine to superb strikes noted. A marvellous opportunity for the specialist with many of the covers used  to aid J. Colareta's publications.

    1858/75: Collection in black album with Cancellation study on the Classic Issues, from Arequipa-Yslay with good strikes of scarcer Offices such as 1858 1 d. blue pair with framed "VAPOR", 1862 1 d. rose with part "Cajabamba" framed in black, 1862 1 d. pink with large part framed "Receptoria de Ascope", fine selection of dotted oval cancels, 1861/62 covers (11) each with 1 p. red cancelled by Lima mute (2) or by Piura or Tacna datestamps (one being double rate cover with two 1 p. red). A fine collecction with scope for expansion (149 items + 11 covers).

(149) and without overprint (20) and document usages from a variety of locations; 1872 Skipper & East Proofs (9) again with issued stamps and usages incl. 1000 sols value, 1876/77 Skipper & East Proofs (7), 1878/79 issue with Proofs (12) and "Specimen" overprints (5), 1880/81 Skipper Proofs (5), 1883 Arequipa Provisional Fiscals in mint multiples, 1891 locally printed Proofs (2), 1892 Consular Issue with Waterlow Proofs optd. "Specimen" (7), 1895 issue wiith large multiples & sheets, Tobacco Tax issues, 1926 'Casa de Moneda' imperforate Proofs (16 imperf. pairs) etc., many thousands of mint, used and documents included in what must be the finest collection of this material ever formed and an award winning Exhibit if re-mounted.
