    1861 (Dec 25): Cover to London underpaid via Marseille, franked by 1856 6 d. lilac tied by bold "C" obliterator in black, with two strikes of rare INSUFFIECIENTLY PREPAID in red and circular MORE TO PAY in red. Short paid 6 pence and charged at double the deficiency with 1 shilling due in manuscript. Reverse with British P.O. Constantinople cds in red and London arrival cds (Jan 3, 1862) in red. A rare cover.

    1867 (May 21): Cover from London to Constantinople franked by 1865/67 6 d. lilac pl. 6 tied by London duplex, struck on arrival with rare  NOT CALLED FOR and framed UNCLAIMED in red (the latter marking is recorded only in late May to early June 1867). "British Post Office / Constantinople" cds in blue on front for letter's return to sender (Dec 10). Rare and splendid cover.

    1876 (May 11): Cover, slight tear at top, mailed to New York franked by GB 1875 2 ½ d. rosy mauve, pl. 2 tied by "C" obliterator in black and by rare TOO-LATE straight line in red. Red "British Post Office / Constantinople" cds at left and London transit on front (May 17) in red, reverse with New York arrival. Despite the fault a rare and attractive cover. Signed Vaccari.
