    1853: 25 r. blue, a fine example with good to large margins all round, used on 1853 cover to Amsterdam to pay the internal rate and cancelled by Lisbon "1" numeral obliterator in black. "LISBOA" despatch cds in blue below (Oct 7) and thence via St. Jean de Luz (Oct 11) with red transit and Paris (Oct 16) to Amsterdam (Oct 18) where charged "40" cents due in manuscript. A fine and scarce external usage of the first issue on an attractive cover. Signed Galvez.
