1941/1943, Pan American Airways, study presented upon exhibition pages, detailing the routes and rates during WWII, comprising seven covers, all with censor markings, origins from Kenya, Gold Coast, Barbados, Peru, Madagascar, noted 1941 First Flight cover sent from Gold Coast to Gloucester, England carried via USA, with violet cachet "First Flight / Regular Air Mail Service / Gold Coast-USA" and rather nicely a letter which contains the quote; "it may seem there is now an air mail service via America......this mail is closing today", study includes three on the westbound route (two Foreign Air Mail 22 - FAM 22, one the "O" service), two eastbound using FAM 22, also 1942 Kenya to Bermuda carried on a combination of Imperial Airways and Pan American Airways, a fascinating group, scarce and beautifully mounted.Starting bid : 300 CHFHammer price : 600 CHFLot# : 541 Collections/lots worldwide

1845/1960ca.: Treasure Trove - Accumulation of remainders, 4 stock books, one with never hinged sets airmail stamps, with a few better, one with mixed duplication 20th century, a smaller stock book with classics in mixed condition, a stock book with older banknotes and a small album with Vatican City. 1840-1904: Remainder of a 'Whole World' collection in two volumes of the Schaubek 'permanent' album, countries beginning most often with the classics, that are in very mixed condition, but often leaving a nice or at least acceptable piece. What concerns Europe, some picking detected, completely removed are Switzerland and the Netherlands. 1835/2000ca: Heterogeneous accumulation of remainders - Victoria letter from 1850 with TWO PENCE stamp cancelled with butterfly cancel, on the backiside "FIERY CREEK PORT PHILIPPE" and "MELBOURNE PORT PHILIPP" cancels, addressed to Melbourne - 4 classic covers from Spain and 3 from Cuba, 15 covers from Nepal. Newspaper 1893 in Bulgarian language sent from CONSTANTINOPLE to via YAMBOLI to KOTEL. A catapulte flight 1928 with British franking to the USA sent from Ile de France via Plymouth (ressembling to famous cover sent by same sender to the same addressee (the father) Howard Corbett, owner of the Washington Herald. Remainder of a collection German South West Africa with 3 old picture postcards and 1 photo + modern documentation. 9 settings of no-value FRAMA stamps each with 9 stamps each for a province, all stamps without a value. Postcard with Edward 7 from Queen Mary with US-paquebot cancel. 6 Newspapers or parts, of which 3 with Austrian stamps, two with pair of 2 c. brown. One with bisected stamp from Spanish Morocco to Belgium, two with cartoons but without stamp.
