    Colonial 1824: Quarterly report from the Oruro Post Office dated at base December 31, struck at top with perfect strikes of abbreviated / truncated "RTA. DE CORREOS" Nacional "POR EL REY" and "ORURO" handstamps (Colareta figs. 3+4+5, almost certainly taken from this document) at top all in red. A magnificent document in the finest possible condition - and very probably the last such sent with the "POR EL REY" as Bolivia's Independence was secured the following year.

    1875: Printed Matter rate cover from La Paz to Versailles, France endorsed "Con impresos" and "via Panama" struck on despatch with oval "REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA / PAZ / FRANCA" in violet, carried by Peruvian P.O. in Tacna (March 16) and British P.O. in ARICA with single ring cds in black (March 17). Three line dated "PANAMA / TRANSIT" in black (March 28) and from Colon on Ligne A Steamer (April 1) to Versailles (April 26) where charged '15' décimes handstruck in black. Cover sensibly opened for Exhibit display, rare.

    1876: Prepaid cover front from La Chimba (later Antofagasta) to Montevideo via Magellan Straits, struck with "CORREOS DE BOLIVIA / LA CHIMBA / ABRIL 30 76", intaglio oval "CORREOS DE LA CHIMBA / BOLIVIA" with Steamer vignette and oval "CANCELLADO" all in blue - the sole, unique example of all three handstamps applied to the same cover - with Montevideo arrival (June 5) in black and tax mark "10" to pay. Exceptional and very rare.

    1790/1850c.: The collection on leaves (19 covers/fronts) with six pages from the Ortiz-Patiño collection, from Colonial period onwards with circa 179o turned cover with "FRANCA" and "ORURO" and "3½" in red and "COTAGAITA" on reverse, 1795 cover with "PLATA" to Lima in red and another to Buenos Ayres, 1821 cover with "ORURO" in red, 1822 covers (2) with str. line "POTOSI" in red, prepaid covers with "TUPISA" and "FRANCA" in red and in blue, further entirs from "CALAMA", "PAZ DE AYACUCHO" and "FRANCA / SUCRE" in red etc.
