    1842 (June 13): Entire letter from Puerto Cabello to Bordeaux endorsed "via U. States", with "BALTIMORE /MD." transit cds (June 28) and two strikes of "PAID" at right in blue. Endorsement altered on forwqarding with "Via Havre Packet 1st July" at top and "OUTRE-MER / LE HAVRE" entry cds in red (July 23), rated '10' décimes due on arrival in manuscript.     1863/64: Eagle 2 r. green, an unusually superb large margined example, used on 1865 cover from La Guaira to Bordeaux, endorsed "p. Creole" (a non Contract Steamer, 'bâtiments de commerce') tied by fine "CORREOS / LA GUAIRA" handstamp in blue. Struck below adhesive with circular entry marking "OUTRE-MER / PAUILLAC" in red (May 10) and manuscript '12' décimes to pay. Bordeaux arrival cds on reverse. One side flap missing but a very rare and attractive cover. Cert. Peter Holcombe (1990).

    The "Paquete" Post of St. Thomas - La Guaira - Pto Cabello 1864-1870, 1866/67, ½ real carmine-rose, horizontal strip of three tied by three strikes of "¼" to folded letter from Puerto Cabello via St. Thomas and London to Bordeaux with accountancy marking "G.B. 1F60C" alongside, upon delivery charged "20" décimes, somewhat discoloured around the stamps, otherwise a fine, attractive and rare entire, certificate Paaskesen (1988).
