    1857 (Sept 3): Entire letter from Rosario to Santiago de Chile and presumably carried on the Cordillera route, manuscript rate '20' on reverse and struck with oval framed "CORREO NACIONAL / DEL ROSARIO / FRANCA" in black at lower left. Scarce. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.

    1867: France laureated 80 c. carmine used on 1872 entire letter from Buenos Ayres to Nantes tied by dotted Anchor lozenge with octagonal "BUENOS AYRES / PAQ. FR. J No 2" datestamp (June 30) in black (Salles fig. 1072). Underpaid 20 c. and struck with framed 'AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT' in red and taxed '4' décimes due in manuscript (double the deficiency) on arrival (July 30). A charming and scarce entire.

    1868: Rivadavia 20 c. vermilion, crossed lines, a used example tied to 1876 combination cover to Bordeaux, France by 'Buenos Aires' cds (May 27) in black. Handstruck POR SENEGAL at left and additionally franked by France 1870 Siège 40 c. orange (2) and Cérès 1871/75 5 c. green and 15 c. pale bistre for the 1 franc rate, all tied by bold 'BUENOS-AYRES / PAQ.FR.J.No.6' octagonal datestamps (May 27) in black (Salles fig. 1073) and by manuscript pen cross. Red framed PD below and reverse with Bordeaux arrival cds (June 24). A splendid and rare cover.     1911: South Pole Expedition by Wilhelm Filchner 1911/12. Greeting card from Buenos Aires with text (in German) 'Greetings from E. Hegneck we  continue on 1st 10.  via South Georgia to the Ice. Last greetings, to Buenos Aires, German consulate'. The cards bears a 5 Centavos stamp 'San Martin' and the red label of the expedition 'DEUTSCHE SÜDPOLAR EXPEDITION", with cancellation "RE VITTORIO PIROSCAFO POSTALE ITALIANO 19 SET.11"  stamp and label are cancelled together, a second strike of the cancel is placed aside (possibly the cancel hadn't been updated). Some staining all round the the perforations otherwise fine condition.

CGA 1928 (March 1) first flight (4), special printed CGA picture postcard used on 2nd flight to Montevideo, envelope (Sept. 27) carried by 'Alcanze al Vapor' flight Service to USA together with similar envelope via France to NY (Oct. 18, 1928), further 10 special printed X-mas cards, two envelopes of 1929 (Sept. 3) of Aeroposta Argentina First Flight Service to Santiago de Chile, 1929 (Sept. 12) Trial flights Comodoro Rivadavia -Buenos Aires, 1930 (Jan. 23) first Flight Service from Asuncion as well as 1930 (July 4) Mermoz return flight (3) with mail to Switzerland, Germany and France, in addition 1930 (Dec. 27) Cap Juby (Rio de Oro) Crash cover from Paraguay as well as interesting commercial usages from and to Switzerland (30), Great Britain (35+), Austria, Belgium, CSSR, Netherlands and mail to England, all showing interesting rates and some high frankings to $5 on commercial mail from Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy (2), Spain (2) and Switzerland. All fine mounted and neatly described on album pages. A fine offer for the airmil specialist, viewing highly recommended.

    LATI (Linee Aeree Transcontinentali Italiane) Italian South Atlantic Airmail Service 1939/41: Two volume collection with 90+ envelopes mainly from and to Argentine, incl. early German envelope dated Dec. 28.1939 (flown Jan. 4th 1940) to Buenos Aires or another dated Jan. 9th 1940, further letters with high frankings as German R-Cover (Feb. 8.1940) bearing RM 8.80 franking to Buenos Aires, proceed by incoming mail from Belgium (1) Germany (20), Italy (7), Spain (2) and Switzerland, acceptances from Bolivia, Chile and Peru together with interesting mail to Austria (3), Denmark (1), Netherlands (7), Switzerland (12) and even one to Sweden (1940). All fine mounted and neatly described on album pages.

    Compania Lavaderos de Oro del Sud (Tierra del Fuego) 1890-1891: Julio Popper's private mail stamp issue: Colour proofs 10 Centavos, two horizontal pairs in red and brown plus single in blue, also black plate proof with red circular handstamp and in addition the issued stamp as single and as block of six with double horizontal perforation, a corner marginal block of 20, position 68 with distinctive flaw and retouch to the area around the "E of FUEGO", in addition two blocks of four with upper sheet margin, one with inscription "KIDD y Cia LIm. Sn MARTIN 35l" and a used example, the multiples mint never hinged, small part of margin missing, a fine and scarce group.
