Ingoing 1868ca: Entire letter despatched at the Austrian Consular P.O. in Belgrade 2/4 to Bucarest, taxed 25 bani, being the rate to Romania. The arrival mark 'Bukarest' is dated 8/4. 1873 (Sept 22): Unpaid Cover from Galati to Corfu, endorsed "Via Trieste", struck by GALATZI despatch cds, on arrival charged with '100' lepta in blue crayon, taxed with 80 l. rose-carmine and 20 l. blue on blue, overal fair to large margins, the 80 l. touched on two sides, tied by '106' numeral lozenge of Kerkyra, reverse with WIEN transit cds as well as part strike of KERKYRA arrival (Sept 17, 73, julian) cds. 1877 (June 27): Registered Cover from Slănic in the Judet Prahova via Vălenii de Munte to Ploiești, bearing 1872 Paris print 5 b. yellow-braun, 15 b. red-brown and 25 b. yellow-orange, three fresh and fine examples perf 14:13½, tied by thimble "VALENI DI MUNTE" despatch cds in blue, two-ring "JUD. PRAHOVA / URB. SLANICU" in blue and framed "RECOMANDAT" in black alongside, reverse with PRAHOVA transit and PLOESTI arrival (June 29) cds. 1878: 10kr green type II, vertical pair tied by clear but in places faint 'AGENTIE D.D.S.G. SISTOV' in blue with additional franking Hungary 2kr. rose perf 13 (2) on extremely rare letter from SISTOV to Vienna in the second weight rate. The Hungarian stamps are tied by a BAZIAS single circle (22. Sep), an arrival cancel 'WIEN' (23. Sep.) is on the reverse. The D.D.S.G. franking displays the usual natural irregular perforation upper stamp short corner perf, minor paperbends do not detract. The lower stamp of the pair shows a tear to the middle of the stamp. The green stamps paid the postage from the Bulgarian port SISTOV to BAZIAS, the Hungarian stamps paid for the onward journey to WIEN. The envelope shows signs of past rough treatment, but according to the certificate Ferchenbauer is unique as a letter of the 2. weight rate. Incoming mail, 1880 (Jan 30): Stationery envelope from Vienna to Bucharest, Coarse whiskers 10 kr. blue with additional frankings of 1874 Fine whiskers 10 kr. blue, overall fresh and fine, the example on the reverse torn during opening, tied by light "LANDSTRASSE WIEN 30 / 1 08" despatch cds in black (year slug inverted), framed registration handstamp alongside, reverse with "BUCURESTI 3 FEB .." arrival cds. 1862/1990ca.: Good accumulation; old collection beginning with imperforates but especially the issues Prince Carol I from 1872 to1918 are represented extensively with better values and also with two errors of color (Minr. 44F and 50F), 5 Bani blue from 1876 and 5 Bani carmine 1879. 1865/1970: Comprehensive collection of stamps and entires on pre-printed leaves and on stock cards, with strength in all areas, beginning with the 1865 issue 'CUZA', with good ' CHARLES I' and subsequent issues. The pre-war issues are collected specialised by perforation. There is strength in the occupation issues including a reply card with canceller 'GIORGIU' and a good study of the fiscal stamps of the occupation. Futhermore there a significant numbers of perfins and other back of the book, items as well as some good inter-war sets, Post office in the levant and some specialities such as proofs and others.
