    India used in Kuwait 1943/44: Group two covers from Kuwait to Wattwil, Switzerland bearing India 1937-40 KGVI 1 a. carmine & 2a.6.p. Bullock cart violet (Gi 250+252) and 1940-43 KGVI 3½ a. bright blue (Gi 272), respectively to pay the 3½ a. rate. The adhesives tied by "KUWAIT / PERSIAN GULF" cds's, one with BASRA transit, both making their journey via Istanbul, one cover with corresponding machine transit cancellation. One with Kuwait censor, both with all Arabic censorship strip and Iraq censor handstamp in violet.
