    1902: China 1 c. rose postal stationery card, up-rated with Coiling Dragon 1 c. orange and 2 c. carmine cancelled by "SWATOW" cds's (Nov 16). Hong Kong 4 c. rose applied for onward transmission tied by framed "IPO" in red and by "Victoria / Honh Kng" cds in black. Two vertical creases and small nick to card at base but scarce.

    1916: 10c blue Peking print, vertical pair on registered letter from PEKING via HARBIN to MOHO. The letter was undeliverable, opened and resealed by three intact russian wax seals, with three cachets and a signature set beside. The reverse also bears an IGNASHINO arrival mark, a return transit HARBIN is dated 2. MAR 1917. A most unusual letter from this interesting area and period.

    1941: Two postcards from the same correspondence from 'Shanghai' to 'Vienna', one dated 13. May 1941, the second 24. Sep.1941. Due to the outbreak of war between Germany and Russia the second card could not be forwarded via Siberia but was despatched via the Dutch Indies. The item was held there and following the Japanese Occupation, it was released and forwarded. Remarkable that it was transported at all, as but the Wehrmacht censor proves that it reached Germany despite of the difficult circumstances. According to the recipients endorsement the item was in transit for eight month. Historically a most interesting lot.

    1865/1915: Collection on total 6 self-designed album pages in art-nouveau style, stamps in a bit mixed condition, the older issues stuck to the pages; but attractive first issue complete with rare cancel "(CUST)OM HOUSE" on 3 CANDARINS, 5 CANDARINS in two different shades, a part collection Shanghai issues (3 pages) included, nice short set of surcharges for Tibet 1915 from Three Pies to Twelfe Annas.
