    1838 (March 21): Entire letter from Cadiz to Buenos Ayres, sent via Forwarding Agent in London with flap showing "Encaminada pr. Lizaur Mariatequi y Ca., Londres 17 Abril 1828", and there prepaid "3/6d." in red manuscript for onward transmission, with further "per Packet" endorsement at lower left. An attractive entire and a most unusual routing.

    1871: 12c red-brown "HISPANIA", horizontal pair, tied to small cover from CADIZ to HAIDA in Boehemia. The letter is endorsed 3 for third weight rate and bears a range of transit marks, as well as an arrival HAIDA on front an back. A rare foreign letter.

    1874 (July 1): Entire letter from Barcelona via Marseille to Genova, dated internally and externally "1 Jul. 1874", bearing 1874 'La Matrona' definitive 50 c. yellow, used on its day of issuance, tied in transit with Gros Chiffres '2240' numeral lozenge of Marseille, French "ESPAGNE 2 JUIL. 74 MARSEILLE entry cds in red alongside. Due to unknown reasons, the cover was taxed upon arrival with '6' decimi and a Postage due 60 centesimi was added and tied by "GENOVA 4 LUG 74 7 M." cds.

    1850/1964: Collection in one volume containing principally "classic" fine used stamps beginning with four 1850 6 Cuartos used including one on a fine cover to Jerez. The subsequent issues contain a range of interesting letters and with many Isabella and coat of Arms issues. Later issues contain some mint items.

    1829/1940: Batch of twenty-three letters  about half prephilatelic with interesting transit markings and routings mostly to London. Much of the mail has travelled via St. Jean de Luz, here an comparatively unusual higher weight letter with a French transit and route marking "par Calais", taxed 3/2. Later correspondence deals with the exchange of postage stamps on a letter with Italy. A varied batch.
