    Lot# : 1049 Serbia

1917/1919: Serbian Exile Government on CORFU, highly interesting group of four letters franked with French stamps, cancelled "TRESOR ET POSTES" or with Serbian cachets, from the same correspondence to Switzerland, including three registered letters and one official with various Censor markings. Two of the senders give insight into the postal system with Field Post numbers attached to their address. Another is to be passed on to a presumably Serbian citizen in Switzerland. The covers show some signs of wear but nonetheless an exceptionally scarce ensemble.
