1852/1985: Enormous Collection of stamps, postal stationery and postal history in thirty-five volumes, compiled by a dedicated philatelist with an eye for the unusual and the energy to acquire second and third examples, when everything was already in his collection. The classic section alone is something to behold, with a specialisation, strictly along the lines of the Facit cataloge. The collection begins with nine copies of the 2rbs. blue including two Faerslev prints, with a further two 2 rbs. Thiele prints on cover, both with Copenhagen foot post. All come with certificates. The 4 rbs brown comes with a range of unretouched crowns and a large part cover from the pen cancelation period in 1851. The total number of the 4 rbs. is around two-hundred and forty examples with many on entires and pieces, often with certificates. The following square issues are collected in much the same manner, with strips up to four on cover, a very fine single franking of the 1857 16s. greyish violet, pairs and strips of three, often with little specialities. The collection carries on in much the same vein, with attractive letters and much material sourced at auction, from rare booklets, to 'Star Cancels' in quantites, early 'JUL' Christmas stamps, a 1915 80ö black on 12ö purple and grey inverted frame on parcel address certificate Nielsen, with errors and attractive items going hand in hand. All in predominantly good or better quality, with many better items with certificate. Viewing a must.
