Reverse with two 'Colombo / Registered' arrival datestamps (June 15). Seals removed from reverse but a rare usage of the 4 c. adhesive on letter.

(Post Master) Maldive Islands". Reverse with 'Colombo / Registered' cds of transit (June 6) and Yatiyantota arrival of the following day. The cover sensibly opened for display, scarce and attractive.

    1909: Minaret, Juma Mosque, Malé - The unique set of four De La Rue Imperforate Proof sheets on watermarked Rosettes paper with handstamped dates in blue at lower right corner, 2 c. orange-brown "10 FEB 1909", 3 c. deep myrtle green "26 JAN 1909", 5 c. purple "29 JAN 1909" and 10 c. carmine "3 FEB 1909", all signed off by "A.J.H." in manuscript above dates. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP., on pages 4565, 4566, 4567 and 4568. A splendid and wonderful set.
