    1867/80: Covers (2) from same correspondence each bearing Great Britain 6 d. mauve plate 9, used on 1871 covers to Beirut, each tied by 'Cheltenham / 177' duplex, the earlier cover (June 9) via Austria with BERUTTI cds of receipt of Austrian P.O. (July 3) and taxed on arrival with manuscript 'f2' (2 soldi) for local delivery; second cover (Sept 14) with faults mailed via France with INSUFFICIENTLY / PREPAID over 'PD' charged with large '18' décimes due marking in blue as found to be double weight, with French P.O. arrival on reverse. A scarce pair on Exhibit page.
