    The 'Paquete' Post of St. Thomas - La Guaira - Puerto Cabello 1864: 3 c. black on orange-yellow wove paper, Type A, a complete sheet of 24 subjects (4 x 6), first stamp with diagonal crease and grease spot otherwise fresh and very fine, large part or unmounted og. The 3 and 4 cent values can be found (if rarely) in complete sheets - consequently both these values are seldom encountered in used condition Gi = £ 1'100+.rnNote: For plating purposes, see Ringström & Tester page 80, where it is shown that there are four different Types arranged in vertical rows of six.

    La Guaira 1864: 2 r. golden yellow, perf. 13, a used example on 1866 cover from La Guaira to Bordeaux, tied by circular ADMON DE CORREOS / LA GUAIRA datestamp in black (May 9), London transit on reverse (May 30) and struck there with "GB / 1F. 60c." accountancy marking in black. Calais transit of the following day and charged '20' décimes due upon receipt. Scarce. Cert. BPA (2021).

    La Guaira 1864/67: 2 r. sage-green, rouletted with cuts, used on January 8 1866 somewhat stained on toned entire letter from Caracas to Gran Canaria, cancelled by circular dotted obliterator in black. The entire presumably travelled privately to La Guaira or St. Thomas, thence to London (Jan 30), Teneriffe (March 6) and 'Las Palmas / Canarias' with arrival in black, where charged with circular "4.R." (reales) due marking in black. Despite faults, rare and unusual. Cert. BPOA (2021).

    1873: Contrasena 2 r. yellow with overprint inverted, a used example cancelled by "0" rate marking and "Correos / La Guaira" in black, used on 1877 cover to Marseille with France Type Sage 1 fr. olive-green tied by octagonal "LA GUAYRA" Consular datestamp (July 6) in black. Reverse with "Ligne A / Paq. Fr. No. 2" datestamp of the same day alongside Paris (July 24) and part Marseille arrival cds. Cover trimmed at base but a rare combination, the 2 reales is rare on letter.

    1855/2010: Collection beginning with classics in twelve volumes with duplicates, containing many attractive early stamps. Later a good run of the 1950's coat of arms series used. The modern era contains much unmounted mint material, with miniature sheets, strips and general issues. Unusual to find in such quantity.
