    1898 (Jan 28): Chinese Imperial Post, the set twelve values complete to $ 5 deep green & salmon, all stuck down on page from the Royal Swedish Post Office UPU collection of stamps as received from the UPU in Berne, all of fresh vibrant colours and overprinted by Waterlow SPECIMEN in black. Reverse of page shows unoverprinted Russia 1899 'KITAI' 1 kopek-10 k. set of six. Illustrated in Bendon supplement to UPU Specimen Stamps on page 623. Extremely attractive and rare.

Reverse with "F.P.O. No. 4" arrival cds (April 20). Trivial aging on the Railway Administration adhesive mentioned for full accuracy only and not affecting the significance and rarity of a superb First Day of Issue usage. Cert.
