    RMSP 1867 (Dec 14): Entire letter from Hamburg to Valparaiso, Chile franked by Hamburg 1864 1 s. brown, five singles adhesives and 1865 7 s. reddish lilac, four single examples, all tied by mute four line obliterator in blue, "HAMBURG 14 12 / 67 8-12N" despatch cds in blue, 'London / Paid' transit cds in red and "PANAMA JA 7 68" cds of the British transit PO in black alongside. Reverse with oval datestamp of the Hamburg city PO (Dec 14). Cover transported from Southampton to Jamaica with RMSP 'Douro', thence to Colon with RMSP 'Solent'. Front shows "2s/3d" accountancy note applied in London. SE corner of the lower left 1 s. stamp replaced and file fold through the lower 7 s. adhesive, some perforation toning as to be expected from such an item sent overeas. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 202. In spite of its imperfections, an appealing Shipmail cover from the well-known Werner correspondence. Cert. Brettl (1987).rnrnRMSP 1867 (14. Dez.): Faltbrief von Hamburg nach Valparaiso, Chile, frankiert mit fünf Einzelwerten der 1864 1 s. braun und vier Einzelwerten der 1865 7 s. zartrotlila, klar, kontrastreich und übergehend entw. mit blauem Vierstrichstp. mit nebenges. blauem Abgangsstp. "HAMBURG 14 12 / 67 8-12N", rotem Transit "LONDON PAID 6 DE 67" und schwarzem "PANAMA JA 7 68" Tranitstp. des britischen Postamts. Rückseitig blauer Übergangsstp. des Stadtpostamts Hamburg (14. Dez.). Brief wurde von Southampton nach Jamaica mit der RMSP 'Douro' transportiert, dann weiter nach Colon mit der RMSP 'Solent'. Vorderseitig sind in London "2s/3d" verrechnet worden. Bei der linken unteren 1 Schilling - Marke ist eine fehlende Ecke hinzugeklebt, durch die untere 7 Schilling - Marke geht ein Registraturbug, einige wenige Zahnspitzen vom Gummi getönt, absolut üblich für einen Überseebeleg.
