    1747/61: Group of nine pre-stamp letters with interesting usages and cancellations, incl. “NAPOLI” negative handstamp on 1747 letter from Naples to Marseille, Incoming mail as from 'RUSSIE' single line h.s. on 1833 letter from Simpheropoli to Naples, further pre-paid FRANCA letter from Naples (May 16, 1857) to Lecce and redirected to Otranto (illustrated in Vollmeier Vol. II. p.908, fig.576), black circular 'OFF.G.DI ARRIVO - Bonifica' in black and red (1861), FRANCA ASSICURATA on 1848 letters from Gerace and Vallo, 'DI R.SERVIZIO' on 1858 letter from Capri as well as 1856 letter franked with 25 R. from Porto to Naples.     1858: 1 gr. rose and 10 gr. rose-lilac, un-cancelled examples but 'tied' by the aging on reverse, on 1858 prepaid cover addressed to "His Excellency, the Camp Commandant of the 3rd Division of the Army Corps of Sicily in Messina" with oval FRANCA in black and circular SERVIZIO DEI VAPORI FRANCESI DEL MEDITERRANEO / POSTA DI NAPOLI, well struck for this scarce marking in red. Reverse with Napoli despatch (June 29) in red and Messina arrival (July 6) in black. Some minor faults but a rare cover. Signed Asinelli. Cert. G. Colla (2013).

    1858/60: Selection of three entire letters, including 1858 (January 2) 2 Gr. lilac rose plate I single franking with clearly determined first day usage on letter (slightly browned) from Naples to Tricase, one of the eighteen known letters (certs. Enzo Diena 1988 and Vaccari 1996), further entire letter franked with 2 Gr. rose carmine plate I tied by fancy cancel (svolazzo) from "Agnone 30 Ott. 1860" (Sass. 12 pt. signed G. Colla) as well as third letter bearing mixed franking of 20 Gr. 'falso d'epoca' type II (F9) and two examples of 2 Gr. rosa chiaro plate I on letter to "Gallipoli 21 Ago 1859". A fine and scarce trio Sassone = € 34'550.

Severo' to Capri (1859), letter from Bari (28 Nov. 1860), other lettersheet from 'S' Germano' to Caserta as well as lettersheet from Giovinazzo (30 Lug. 1860). Generally fine with some marginal examples noted signed by A. Diena.rnrn
