    Used Abroad 1856/64: India 8 a. carmine on white paper, a used example on 1864 cover to Winterthur, Switzerland endorsed 'via Marseille', tied by fine "124" numeral obliterator in black. Framed "INDIA PAID" in red adjacent and reverse with "ADEN STEAMER POINT" cds in black (Aug 10) and notation that the letter was written aboard the "Mooltan", alongside "Bureau Francais Bale" cds (Aug 28). A fine cover to an unusual destination for Aden mail of this period.

    1854: ½ a, blue, Die I, A Stone position 54, a used example with large even margins all round, tied to 1855 entire letter from Bombay to Suroor tied by dotted lozenge in black with framed "RC. HOUSE / № 1" handstamp and framed "Bombay / Paid" despatch in red, displaying well on reverse. Interesting letter in English recounting details of how and when to board a ship heading for Cochin. Delightful and scarce. Cert. RPSL (2018).

Hebert : Cover send from AKYAB (Burma) to Calcutta, Label: "PAR UN FRANCAIS DU CANADA / Le Tour du Monde par Avion / Pilot: MONSIEUR JACQUES R. HEBERT / Avion: D.H. GIPSY MOTH CF-ADC / Calcutta le 17 November 1932", bilingual cachet in violet ACROSS THE BAY TO AKYAB ASMANI GHARI and signed by pilot Hebert, only 57 carried, very fine and attractive.

    1854/1965: Mainly used collection India housed in a preprinted album and seven stockbooks, with 1854 ½ a. blue used (2), 1 a. red (with B/172 Singapore numeral), 4 Annas cut round, a fine four margin two Annas and a range of other QV issues. KEVII to 15 Rupees used. Feudatory states contain three 1915/16 marginal Bundi "cows" and Datia three fine used values. There is also a section of covers, those mainly Pakistan and some foreign POs.

    1877/1980: Collection in two large folders containing approximately 400 covers, letters and postcards of India and Bangladesh. Much of the material is "normal" correspondence, but there are some better items included such as QV coronation Durbar to 5R (Gi 107/9), Ghandi (Gi 305/8) two sets each on FDC, Feudatory States Stationery and letters. The Bangladesh part contains a range of handstamp overprints and requires closer inspection.
