    1767 (Nov 21): Entire letter from Cadiz to Buenos Ayres struck with superb strikes of condensed "ESPÑA" handstamp and "3. DE PLATA" both in red; mailed between members of the Basabilbaso family, Manuel Basabilbaso became the Administrator of the 'Correo Maritimo' in Buenos Ayres in 1766. A wonderful and rare entire.

Fine strike of framed "F.48" Prussian Convention Accountancy marking in black (Salles 3188, Van Der Linden fig. 1184) applied in Paris. Reverse with Paris cds and Asendorf arrival in blue (Nov 21).     Paraguay War 1868: Rivadavia 20 c. vermilion, crossed lines, a used example on 1869 cover from Humaitá to Goya, tied by superb strike of rare barred "H" diamond obliterator in black of Humaitá. Circular CORREOS DE CORRIENTES transit cds (April 26) alongside in black. Much of the Paraguayan town of Humaitá was in the hands of the Argentinian forces by July 1868, finally falling in August 1868. Less than 10 examples recorded nearly all of which are on the Demarchi correspondence to Buenos Aires. An extremely rare cover in the foremost quality.
