1863/76: 2 c. orange, perf. 12½, a vertical pair used on reverse of 1864 wrapper from Belfield to Mahaicony, tied by fine strikes of "B G / E 4 C" datestamps (Jan 22) in black (Proud D2) with further strike below. Obverse with manuscript "Paid 4 cents on the back". The adhesives cut but intact on opening but not unattractive and a scarce rate and franking. 1893: De La Rue Die Essays (2) for the central circular vignette for the postal stationery envelopes, adhered on two white file cards (71 x 45 mm.), the first Proof marked "A" with Frigate embossed in white on vermilion surround with Flags to left (the chosen design) and second marked "B" with the circular vignette in vermilion with uncleared surround showing Flags to right (accepted) but with the vertical lines at sides of the Frigate which were later removed; both are dated "Nov 27.93" in manuscript.
