    1877(March 30): Autographed Letter Sheet written and signed by Charles E. 'Chinese' Gordon of Khartoum, written in French at Keren (Ethiopia) to a Monsieur Habib and mentioning a telegraphic despatch to Osman Pacha, the Abyssinian Authorities, Massowah etc. Fresh and very fine, a rare unpublished letter.

    1894: Postal Stationery cards, the famous Essays, in black on buff stock, without the stamp design at upper left but with the Lion of Judah at upper right; one with Amharic error in first letter of "C" of Post Card and the second card with this error corrected and the ornamental lines below the inscription pointing down instead of upwards in the issued card. Issued card for comparison, a unique pair.

    1896: 1 g. blue postal stationery card, a fine used example cancelled by "ENTOTTO" Type II datestamps (14.11.99) in black, mailed to Germany with earliest recorded usage of "HARAR / POSTES FRANCAISES" transit cds in black (Nov 25) and reverse franked by 1894 Djibouti 5 c. green & orange (2) cancelled by Djibouti cds's in blue. "HARAR" cds of transit in blue on reverse (Nov 21) and front with French Paquebot datestamp (Dec 3) carried by Steamer 'Natal'. Königsfeld arrival cds (Dec 16). An extremely rare and fine usage.
