    1863 (Aug 15): Cover from Zante (Zakynthos) to Malta endorsed 'via Corfu' struck in transit with "♚ / PAID / AT / CORFU" in red (and much rarer thus, unrecorded by Parmenter & Gordon, our records show at last two examples thus; Robson Lowe in the 'Encyclopaedia' pricing the strike in this colour at 10 times normal) with manuscript rates 'd4' and additional '2' alongside. Reverse with blue Zakynthos despatch cds and 'Malta' arrival (Sept 16). Small closed tear in wrapper at top but very rare Gi = £ 650+.

    1860 (May 15): Combination cover mailed prepaid from Zante via Malta to Messina, struck on despatch at Greek Post Office with 'Zakynthos' cds (May 15) with framed FRANCA under adhesives alongside; prepaid manuscript "4d./7d." and superb impression  of "♚ / PAID / AT / CORFU" applied in blue (Gi = unpriced). Franked by Great Britain 1857 1 d. red star perf. 14 in a strip of three (BG-BI) and single wing margin 1857 4 d. rose tied by horizontal "MALTA / A25" duplex (May 25) with Maltese 'P.' in black below. Reverse with 'Messina' arrival cds (May 27) in black and charged '10' grana due upon receipt. We record just three examples of this combination usage of which this is the finest.     1849 (April 23): Entire letter from the Sardinian Consul in Zante to the Sardinian Consul in Marseilles via Malta prepaid 'd5' in manuscript and struck with very fine "♚ / PAID / AT / ZANTE" in blue-green with hooded 'Zante' datestamp adjacent (April 23). 'Poss. Angl. / Marseille' entry marking in red (April 30) on obverse and Sardinian Consular seal alongside double arc 'Malta' transit (April 25) on reverse with manuscript '11' décimes due to pay.
