    1849 (July 16): Entire letter from St. Georges to Trinidad, endorsed 'Paid' and 'pr. Steamer' in manuscript, struck with fine "♚ / PAID / AT / ST. GEORGES BERMUDA" in red with manuscript '4' (pence) prepaid at right. Reverse with "ST. GEORGES / BERMUDA" double arc cds in red (July 16) and probably carried by the 'RMS Clyde' which sailed for St. Thomas on July 19. Internal docketing of receipt (July 30). Reverse with "IRELAND ISLE / BERMUDA" datestamp (April 20) in black and London arrival cds (May 16) in red.
