    Second Printing Overprinted "G" in 9 upright or italic Types 1878: Cape 1 d. carmine-red, wmk. CC, optd. "G" in black, an unused marginal block of four from lower left corner of the right pane of 60 (with COLO of COLONIES in marginal watermark), Types 12a-13 / 8-9, positions 49-50 / 55-56, of fresh colour and excellent appearance but for slight hinge remnant on horizontally creased margin and a few small ink splashes on reverse on large part og. "G" in red, Type 6, a used example tied to 1877 cover to Messrs. Goodman & Freedman, Hebrew Congregation, Merthyr Tydfil, Wales by double arc KIMBERLEY datestamp (May 1) in black, 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds at left (May 7) of transit and reverse with Merthyr Tydfil arrival cds (June 3); and Second Printing Overprinted with small "G" 1879 Cape 4 d. dull blue optd. "G" in black, Type 17, used on 1879 cover, with complete contents in German dated November 22, to Emil Burmester in Cape Town tied by KIMBERLEY datestamp in black, 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' arrival cds (Nov 27) also tying the adhesive.
