    1874: Contrasello overprinted 1 r. red and 4 r. bistre-brown used in combination with 1879 10 c. black on imprinted cover from President Zaldivar (President 1876-1885) to Paris, all cancelled by circular target obliterators in blue. "Correos de San Salvador" cds in red at left (Sept 16, 1880) and thence via French Paquebot with octagonal PANAMA-UNION / PAQ.FR.A.No.1 datestamp (Oct 1, 80 - the '80' inverted) struck in red (Salles fig. 1415). Carried on Steamer 'Washington' with Paris arrival on reverse (Oct 24). The 10 c. adhesive with toning but a very rare mixed issue franking. Cert.
