    Incoming Mail from Gouadeloupe 1849: Cérès 1 fr. carmine, a fine horizontal strip of three with clear to large margins all round, used on 1852 double rate cover from Pointe-a-Pitre to Paris endorsed 'Par Le Packet', with POINTE-A-PITRE / GUADELOUPE despatch cds at base (Aug 9), the adhesives tied on arrival by 'Grille sans Fin' in black. Red framed 'PD' at right and reverse with Paris cds of arrival. A great rarity of Caribbean Postal History. Cert. Behr (1977).

    Castellorizo 1920: Specialised collection with BNF surcharges with complete set to 20 pi. on Merson 5 fr. incl. duplication, with unused varieties throughout incl. 'Castellorizo' inverted on 1 c. (2), 3 c. (unused and three used), 5 c. (2), 10 c., 15 c. (2 unused and one used), 20 c., 40 c. (and a second example with 'S' for 'Z' variety), 2 pi. on 50 c. (6, including a block of four), further examples with 'No Stop' varieties, the ONF issue with a similar fine range with varieties throughout, handstamped surcharge 'OF' with all six values and a cover, three line violet handstamped surcharge on cover etc. A remarkabale collection of high catalogue value with many items signed by competent experts (Items 139 + Covers 7).

    French Antarctic Territories 1959/63: 30 c. blue, brown & green in a vertical pair with sheet margin at top, struck with hexagonal "Annulé des Rebuts" handstamps in black. Fresh and fine unused, a very rare pair. Unlisted by Maury and Yvert, believed unique.

    French Guyana 1844 (Aug 8): Entire letter to Dinan to a Naval Officer at Cayenne addressed to 'Lt. de. vaisseur Commandt. la goëlette La Mignonne, en station, Cayenne', struck with 'Dinan' cds of despatch in black with framed 'PP' adjacent. Reverse with Paris transit cds in blue and manuscript "7+3+1" rates: 7 décimes to Paris, 5 décimes charge for Colonial rate and 1 décime for Ship = 13 décimes concessionary rate. Fresh and fine, an unusual entire.

    1852 (May 19): Entire letter from Cayenne to Bordeaux endorsed 'Par le Panama de Bordeaux' struck on despatch with superb oval framed "POSTE AUX LETTRES / de Cayenne / GUYANE FRANCAISE" in black, with fine strike of scarce "35" rate mark (10 c. by ship, 25 c. internal) in black alongside 'Colonies Fr. / Pauillac' entry marking in red (June 24). Rare, letters with adhesives at this rate catalogue € 25'000 in Maury; with just 7 examples of this usage recorded.
