    1852 (May 21): Entire letter from Cayenne to Bordeaux struck on despatch with fair oval framed "POSTE AUX LETTRES / de Cayenne / GUYANE FRANCAISE" in black, with fine strike of scarce "35" rate mark (10 c. by ship,  25 c. internal) in black alongside 'Colonies Fr. / Pauillac' entry marking in red (June 24). Rare, letters with adhesives at this rate catalogue € 25'000 in Maury; with just 7 examples of this usage recorded.
