    Spitzbergen/Svalbard 1907: Lot four postcard incl. unused card with the photograph of the ship 'Frihjof' in Virgo Havn and another card depicting icebears, both dated Spitzbergen 31/7/07, the three other cards despatched from Tromsö to Austria. The unused card shows autographs of the American explorer Walter Wellmann and his accompanying photographer Melvin Vaniman who attempted an aerial voyage to the North Pole in September 1907.
