    1858 (March): 120 c. blue, a fine used example with clear to large margins all round, cancelled by 'Admon de Correos' datestamp (Dec 22) datestamp in black. Scarce and fine, signed Darteyre Scott = $ 675.

    Lot# : 1793 Uruguay

    1858/63: Lot eleven entire letters, all sent to Wendelstadt Esqu. in Cologne Prussia, despatched either in Montevideo or Nueva Mehlem and sent via Southampton, the majority of the covers with London and Aachen border as well as Cologne arrival datestamps on reverse. Nueva Mehlem is a German settlement on the east bank of the Uruguay river, the brothers Richard and Karl Wendelstadt migrated to there from Germany around 1850.
