    1843 (March 2): Entire letter to Cardinal Ugolini, with beautifully inscribed letter and original wafer seal written by scribe on behalf of the King Ferdinand of Portugal, Guiné 'et da conquista, Navegacâo e commercio da Ethiopia, Arabia, Persia et da India'; written from the 'Palacio das Necessidades, 2 Marco de 1843' and signed at base "Rey". Full seal of the King on reverse of a fine and unusual document.
