    1888/92: 15 s. purple, a horizontal pair used on 1905 registered cover to Colombia, tied by 'Yokohama' cds and by New York transit registration label. Reverse with San Francisco cds in violet, New York datestamp (Dec 23) and Bogotá arrival (Jan 22, 1906). The pair with one rusted perforation at top but an attractive cover to an unusual destination.

    1916/19: Correspondence from German Prisoner of War in Japan, with covers/cards (15) most mailed from Matsuyama or Tokushima Camps and all addressed to Giessen, Germany with a variety of markings including large oval "DES PRISONIERS DE GUERRE Sce." struck in red or violet, variety of Japanese Censor chops and transit datestamps etc. A fine and scarce group.
