    1874/80 Lot three unused copies of the 1 rupee black on medium laid paper (position 9+12+15) as well as a vertical pair Abasi purple on yellowish horizontally laid papier (positons 7+10), in addition a cover from the 2nd Afghan war 1880 dated in manuscript st left '27.3.80', franked by India ½ a. blue and 4 a. green and mailed from Kandahar via Brindisi to Boulogne (somewhat soiled but rare).

    Kingdom of Afghanistan 1890/1905: The Exhibit collection of the 'pelure / tissue paper issues' with 1891 issue with 1 a. value in an unused Colour Trial block of six printed in bright crimson, 1 abasi grey-blue in a positional block of five showing the tête-bêche variety, 1 a. used on covers (3) incl. a double rate cover with 'batila' in blue; 2 abasi with Colour Trial block of four in bright crimson, 2 a. in grey-blue in unused blocks of four and fifteen and a used block of six and a cover, 1 rupee grey-blue with possible Colour Trials in a deep shade and a rare used strip of four cancelled in red, unissued 1 ruppe Registration stamp with block of 12 and 6 unused (the latter showing tête-bêche variety); 1892 Coat of Arms issue 1 abasi rose - lilac - bright magenta (shades) in blocks of four (3) unused and used on covers (15) including two double rate covers and two extraordinary covers each with a block of four, 1 a. in red in blocks of four and six unused in differing shades and used on covers (2), 1 a. in orange in blocks of four unused (2) and used on single rate covers (3) and a double rate cover and a remarkable quintuple rate usage from Peshawar to Kabul, 1 a. yellow with blocks of four (3) and covers (5) incl. a combination cover with India ½ a. tied by Chaman cds (1904), 1 a. in green with blocks of four unused (2), block of 28 with early Plate Flaws and covers (14) incl. double rate frankings (2) and a superb sextuple rate cover with one stamp in yellow and five in green and combination covers (2) with India via Chaman; 1 a. in blue with unused block of four and covers (1); 1892/93 Registration 1 r. black on yellow sheet of 56 and 1 r. on dull yellow and 1 r. red in sheets of 63 and a further sheet of 55 (5 x 11) in green, 1892 General Purpose Revenues incl. 1 a. on buff in a tête-bêche pair, 1 a. Revenue for Receipts in a variety of shades and colours incl. 1 a. on blue in a block of 31 and a composite sheet of 99 (11 x 9) unused in grey on buff and a sheet of 100 on dull red paper; octagonal Revenues (4) on different coloured papers, 1894/95 Registration, a complete composite sheet of 48 (very rare), 2 a. green on double weight cover, 1 rupee green on cover and on quadruple and sextuple rate covers, 1898 unissued 2 a. value in deep violet in block of four and two blocks of 16, 2 a. lilac - rose - magenta (shades) in blocks of eight and 16 (10), 2 a. orange in blocks of four, six and 16, 2 a. yellowish in unused blocks of four (2) and 16 (5), 2 a. in blue - green in blocks of four and 16 (6) and a vertical strip of seven, covers bearing the unissued 2 abasi (some possibly genuine usages) together with full sheets of 56 (8 x 7) for the 1898 2 abasi in green (2), red, magenta, orange, yellow, 1898 Registration 2 a. in orange etc. A marvellous Exhibit collection of these difficult issues, viewing is a pleasure.
