    Réunion 1852 (Jan 1): Type-set at St. Denis, 30 c. black on thin azure paper imperforate, Type III, a fine used example with good margins for this rarity, imperceptibly touched on vertical frame at right, tied to small piece by manuscript pen stroke. An outstanding and extremely rare example of this elusive classic issue. Cert Brun (2016) Scott 2 = $ 25'000/Maury = € 28'000/Yvert = € 30'000.

    30 c. noir sur azzuré Type III avec marge complète (au filet dans la partie supérieure gauche et dans la marge de droite au centre) oblit. plume sur petit fragment. Rare.

    Coté des Somalis 1899: "0.40" in black on 1894 4 c. brown-lilac & blue, imperforate, a fine unused example of this extremely scarce stamp, without gum. The issue was only supplied to the public in used condition and it is believed that just two sheets were sold without cancellation (as one can see with the catalogue price of the used examples at just € 50). Rare and fine, signed Calves Yvert = € 4'000.
