Ionian Islands 1814 (May 16): Entire letter struck on obverse with framed 'L'Ord. teur dans les / Iles Ionniennes' handstamp in red (typically weak strike), addressed to the Commissioner of War within Corfu, the inside being a fine 'Order of the Day' written and signed by Collette with oval framed 'Commissaire Des Guerres / Collette' Eagle cachet in red. Catalogue# : 16+20+221862/67: Selection of Large Hermes Heads including 1 lepta on creamish paper in a fine mint block of eight, a fine unused example of 20 lepta 'cobalt' blue shade on bluish paper coarse printing, 60 lepta green on greenish paper fine mint block of four with huge sheet margin at bottom as well as 80 lepta carmine on pale rose paper in an unused block of four in rich shade with large margins all round, further two covers of which one bearing 1861 first Athens 10 lepta and 40 lepta both with yellow wash (SG 12+14B) from Syros (16.2.62) to Constantinople.
