    1840/60c.: Group of pre-philatelic covers to or from Bulgarian Ottoman Offices, with 1859 c. cover showing fair RUSTCHUK negative seal handstamp in brown, 1860 entire from Tirnovo with fair despatch seal and registration handstamp, another with TIRNOVO negative seal in green with rectangular 'Important Correspondence' handstamp alongside, 1850 entire from Orchovitcha to Tsarigrad with Tirnovo negative seal on reverse and a similar entire to Sarajevo sent registered at 11 pi. rate, 1855 entire to Sarajevo with superb FILIBE negative seal in green, 1846 entire from Tirnovo and 1855 entire from Zagra each cancelled on arrival in Constantinople. Fair to fine, a scarce group (8 items).

    Ottoman Post Offices 1863/1872: Collection on leaves with 1863 20 pa. used at Filibe, thereafter with Dulos issues used in Ahyolu (3), Daridere, Pazardchik with fine strip of 1 pi. on piece, Yanbolu (5), Cuma-i-atik (2), Kalofer (16), Haskoy (27), Filibe (10, incl. a bisected 20 pa. yellow on piece), Kaspican (5), Burgas (2), Samakof (2), Sumnu (9), Chirpan (16), Lovetch (3), Kizanlik (7), Rustchuk (10), Kustendje (3), Varna (10), strikes throughout largelys fine to very fine, a fine and interesting lot (209 items).

    Ottoman Post Offices 1863/1872: Collection on leaves with 1863 1 pi. used on piece at Rustchuk, thereafter with Dulos issues arranged in alphabetical order with cancellations of Lovetch, Kizanlik (3), Plovdiv (5, struck in black and in blue), Rustchuk (12 items) incl. cancellations in black and in blue with fine usages on piece, Samokov with fine strip of three 20 pa. green on piece and a front used to Tirnovo, Sofia (2), Shumnu with fine page featuring 8 items with five on piece, Tirnovo (6), Varna (3) and Zagra (2), Razgrad (4, incl. two fine pieces), Baltchik (2), Mustapha Pasha with fine strip of five 20 pa. lilac, Targovistea, Chirpan (2), Kotel (2), Kustendjil (2), Nova Zagora (3, in violet), Yambol (2), Gabrovo, Haskovo (3,), Kalofer (4), Plevna (2), Sliven (4) and Kaspican (2 fine usages on pieces) etc.. Generally very fine, selected strikes, an outstanding group (81 items).

    1863/1910: Balance of a collection with Austrian P.O. 1864 and 1867 issues used in Varna incl. 10 s. blue used on 1878 cover to Trieste, cancellations from Varna and Vidin etc., 5 soldi red stationery card used in 1883 from Philippople, 1880/1910 stationery cards and Small Lion covers, 1892 25 st. in a mint block of four, 1896 2 leva rose-red in a superb mint block of 50, card with 'Euxinograd / Palais' cds, pieces with provisional 'T' markings on Ferdinand bicoloured issue, 1912 Tsar's Jubilee with piece from Portuguese Colonial P.O. showing set of three overprinted COLONIAS in violet in lieu of SPECIMEN overprint, Shipka Pass set with multiples and varieties etc. A fascinating lot with viewing recommended (100+ items).
