    1862 (July 21): Entire letter from Sydney to Hong Kong, endorsed at upper left per "Northam Str." franked by defective 1862 perf. 13 6 d. mauve tied by Sydney sideways duplex in black. Reverse with Hong Kong arrival cds. A scarce franking and destination. Illustrated in Lee Scamp's Far East Mail handbook.

    1864 (Sept 15): Cover to Paris franked by 1860/63 6 d. violet pair tied by "Sydney" sideways duplex, red circular "Australie / V. Suez Amb." entry mark of transit (Nov 14) and taxed "5" centimes due on arrival in Paris (Nov 15). Some slight ageing imperfections but a scarce cover.
