    1855: Cover and contents (the 'Tagus has not yet arrived') from Alexandria to Great Malvern, UK carried at the 1843 rate and prepaid 1/8d. in red manuscript, struck with fair Crown PAID AT ALEXANDRIA in red at left and two strikes of ALEXANDRIA cds in blue (Jan 19). London cds in red (Jan 27) alongside. Despite faults an interesting entire showing that the new 1 shilling rate (established Jan 1, 1855) had yet to be authorised in Alexandria Gi = £ 2'750.
