    Hong Kong 1860 (Oct 25): Entire letter from Melbourne to Hong Kong endorsed 'per Behar via Ceylon' franked by rare 'Bearded oval' 1860 6 d. orange tied by '1' obliterator of Melbourne with despatch datestamp on reverse, The letter was carried by the 'Behar' to Galle and thence per the 'Nubia' to Hong Kong with arrival cds on reverse (Dec 1). Just six covers bearing this stamp are recorded. A rare and fine usage to a very scarce destination, #3 in the Palmer census.
