    Mauritius 1905 (Dec 17): Registered cover from Vacoas endorsed 'via B. I. Steamer to Colombo', with colourful 42 c. franking of 1900/05  2 c. dull and bright purple, 3 c. green & carmine on yellow, 5 c. dull purple & black (2), 12 c. grey-black & carmine and July 1902 surcharged 15 c. green & orange all tied by VACAOS thimble datestamps in black. Oval 'Registered / Mauritius' in red (Dec 18) and reverse with 'English Mail' cds of receipt (Jan 16). An attractive cover.
